I’ve enjoyed working with Larry at MCC in ASL lab and classrooms. He was a great storyteller about back in the old days. The ASL students admired Larry for his great sense of humor and interaction.
While petsitting my dog and cat, Larry enjoyed playing frisbee with my Golden so much. It lead him to wanting to get a dog himself so he ended up with his beloved, little Rambo!
I’ll miss chatting with you, Larry, on VP weekly with Rambo on your lap! Now you can hear the music and dance in Heaven!
You’re much loved, Larry and you’re missed!

To Jim and Connie, This is a celebration of your Dad’s life. Growing up he was me mentor, guided me through rough times, taught me sign language, and was the funniest comedian. He was an exceptional man. May the Lord be with you during this difficult time. Sorry we will not be here. Love you both, Aunt Chris and Uncle Jim!

Rest In Peace Larry. I am going to miss Larry’s presence in the community, especially at ODC. He always was sure to greet me with warm welcomes, great hugs and strike up interesting conversations. It isn’t going to be the same without him. Yet, he will live on in my heart and memory. His family are in my thoughts during this challenging time.
Way back in the early 60’s I attended Omaha School of Art followed by my first related employment at Paramont Paper Company, working in their art department. I met Larry at the school and later Paramont and Larry was a friendly part of both, sharing his talents and knowledge with everyone. I still have some of his humorous cartoons that he drew of fellow students. Larry also taught many the alphabet sign language and for those that liked the challenge, sign language. Thoughts of the school and those I remembered for being a pleasant part of the school brought back memories of Larry so I googled his name and unfortunately he has passed on. I know from my memories, he will be missed by many that knew Larry.
So sorry to hear that Larry has passed. My name is John Irvine and I lived behind on Maple St. and he lived on Benny St. when we were 11 years old. I just Googled his name and remembered all the good times that we had when we were young kids. He had to teach me sign language so we could communicate which I still use when talking with the people that use it.
Really a great guy that was very productive for society.
John Irvine
