So sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. He and I had been close friends since the 70’s, and I just spoke with him a week ago. I am in California for the winter, so am unable to attend the memorial service. I knew Larry’s parents and Aunt Florence quite well. Very sad news on the loss of a wonderful friend.
Larry Eugene is one of our Westside High School class of 64 classmates. A heartfelt sympathy to Larry’s family and friends on his passing. Oh, when Larry joined our class reunion website, he used October 17th as his birthday. Also Ancestry.com has his birthday as October 17th too. Just wondering.
Larry was a long-time good friend. His interest in Shakespeare began in one of Dr.
Glen Newkirk’s classes at UNO. Larry’s devotion to the work of Shakespeare was admired by those who knew him. He read, attended plays in Stratford-on-Avon, watched programs related to his interest, and embodied some on the lessons in life that Shakespeare imparted in his work. He truly was a scholar of classical literature. He also was a good friend of ours, and we will miss him.
