My memories of Thanksgivings with the McNeive/Lough clans are some of my best. Larry was always central in the good times. It is ironic that he left this planet on that day. RIP dear Cousin.

Diana, so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. He was so great to work with at the World-Herald. Excellent editor, wonderful colleague. He also had a terrific sense of humor, which helped him keep his sanity in the early days of our first computer system. We probably averaged over one crash per edition.

It was my honor to work nights at the Omaha World-Herald from 1969 through 1972 – when Larry was doing the same. I concur with all the fine comments about Larry’s journalistic skills and professionalism made in today’s World-Herald. My best to Diana and the family.

Diana and Steph—A whole lifetime together cannot fill up the hole in your hearts in this moment, but if there were one tiny ray of comfort, it might be in the jig in heaven, by father and son reunited.again. It is inspiration to live well—right now! Hugs and Love!

I worked with Larry for many years at the OWH. At times when everything seemed to be going wrong with our computers, Larry would calmly go about his business and get them working again. A nice guy and a credit to the newsroom.

Diana, Sending my love and sympathy. So sad to hear of his passing. Will be forever grateful to you both for making sure our class got together when we did. Larry made a special effort that weekend to let us all know that we were special to him. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I love you, my friend.

Linda & Tim – we were so sorry to hear about your brother. From all reports he was an amazing person. When the pastor said it was difficult to pick from all the great stories because there are so many – that says a lot. Please take care, and know we are praying for you for strength and peace of mind. Larry was a fine man. It was our pleasure getting to know him. I wish we had had more time. In the early years of you living next door, I remember the parties and how much Larry liked to entertain.
