Lauren ‘Korinne’ (White) Ladd

Lauren ‘Korinne’ (White) Ladd

December 28, 1990 – March 15, 2024

Our sweet angel, Korinne, passed peacefully from this earth on March 15, 2024, at the age of 33. She was in the arms of her husband, Marshall, and surrounded by the love of her parents. Her loss is devastating and leaves a great void in the lives of all those who knew and loved her.

Korinne made the world a better place. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her, understands what a beacon of light she was. She was intelligent, talented, caring, and thoughtful. She offered her help and kindness freely. She was also a fierce warrior. She fought this cancer valiantly, with a level of grace and determination that most of us could never even imagine.

Korinne had the courage to continue living her life to the fullest in the face of being diagnosed with glioblastoma, an incurable brain cancer in 2019. She was open and informative about her journey. To her family (including all the animals) and friends, she continued to give love without reservation. She continued riding and driving her horse, working on her novel, drawing, painting, and creating art in other forms. Korinne was an avid reader from early childhood, and loved gardening, nurturing a wide variety of flowers, herbs, and vegetables.

Korinne was born in Anchorage, Alaska. She moved around throughout her childhood before coming ‘home’ to Oregon to join the majority of her family. She graduated from West Albany High School with honors in 2009, where she made lifelong friends as a member of the Equestrian Team. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in English from Oregon State University in 2013.

She married the love of her life, Marshall Ladd May 9, 2015.They spent the first few years of their marriage in Pennsylvania and Missouri, before settling in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple made a wonderful life together with their pets and enjoyed many travel adventures, board games, movies, and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks. They immersed themselves in studying the Japanese language and culture, incorporating Japanese manga and anime into everyday life.

Korinne is survived by her husband, Marshall; Mother, Trisha White; Parents Steven and Kara White; Brother, Samuel White; Parents in law, Allen and Starlene Ladd. She will be greatly missed by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to list.

A service will be held in Oregon April 27, 2024, and will have availability to attend virtually for those out of state or otherwise unable to attend. Details will be provided as available.

Marshall, Trish family and friends of Korrine. Roy and I felt so lucky to have known Korrine. Her strength and courage was so inspiring. Her smile and the twinkle in her eye made each day with her a happy day. As she was driving her pony Scotttie her joy was apparent! She will be missed by everyone who had the chance to know her.

Marshal, Trisha, and all who knew Korrine. I was lucky enough to know Korinne when she was a little girl and when she became a beautiful young lady. She had the heart of both a lion and the lamb. She showed amazing courage through her battle, and inspired everyone I knew her. I will miss her dearly. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.
