Lawrence Clifford Brimmer

BRIMMER, Lawrence Clifford, “Larry,” Sep 16, 1929 – Feb 9, 2010, of LaVista, NE. Born in Tekamah, NE, Larry passed away peacefully with his loving wife of over 60 years, Barbara, at his side. Larry began life as a farmer, or as he liked to say, “agricultural specialist.” He lived and moved with the times and retired as a computer programmer after more than 20 years of service at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. He was an avid football and basketball fan. He admired John Wayne as an actor, with “The Searchers” being his favorite movie. He is survived by wife, Barbara; brother, Maurice; daughter, Cynthia McGuire and her sons, Zachariah and Daniel; son Michael and wife Melody and their son, Brett and daughter, Lauren; son David and wife Sherrill and their daughters, Kia and Kaci. He was affectionately known as “Poppy” by his family. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, 6pm, West Center Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society. “The car is in the garage.”
