VISITATION: Monday, April 4th from 9:15am to 10am, St. Vincent de Paul Church (Chapel), 14330 Eagle Run Drive, followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL with military honors at 10am.  Inurnment: Calvary Mausoleum.  Memorials are suggested to Peru State College or charity of your choice.

Lee Ogle was born on March 26, 1934, to Don Ogle and Kathryn O’Grady in Humboldt, Nebraska.  He attended rural country school for eight years and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1951.  Lee spent two years in the U.S. Army.  When he returned from the service, he attended Peru State College and received his B.A. degree in education.  He taught school for eight years in the states of Iowa, Nebraska, and California.  Lee changed careers and entered the insurance claims business, retiring in 1989 as a claims manager for Farmers Insurance Group.

On August 19, 1970, he married Kathleen Kerwin at Christ the King Catholic Church in Omaha, with her cousin, the late Msgr. Eugene Kerwin, officiating.  They made their home in Omaha, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Michele Kerwin; brother-in-law, James Kerwin and his wife, Nancy.  Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; brother, Don; sister, Romoma Moore; sister-in-law, Sister Maris Kerwin FSPA; nephew, Tyler Moore; and niece, Patrice Strother.

    I was shocked when I saw Lee’s name. I am so sorry. He was one of my neat students when I taught rural school,
    ,back in the forties and fifties. His brother and sister were also my students. Harriett Smith Leech address is 1043. 10th. St. HUMBOLDT,NE 68376
