Leon F. Orchard
March 12, 1932 – May 14, 2024
Leon was born in Cedar Township, Greene County, Iowa to Claude and Laura (Kinnan) Orchard.
He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Orchard, brothers, Dick Orchard, Bill Orchard; sister, Connie Ball.
He is survived by his wife, Violet (Lecuona) Orchard; son, Terry Orchard; daughters: Judy Orchard, Nancy Bertolino, Mary Ellen Barela, Valarie Orchard.
Leon was raised by his grandmother on a farm in Scranton, Iowa. After high school he joined the Marines Corps, graduating with honors. Leon worked most of his career life as manager of the Post Office Credit Union. He was an avid reader and when he sat down was rarely seen without a book.
Leon enjoyed traveling cross-country in a RV, he liked working on projects and keeping busy. He liked growing vegetables, manicuring the lawn, playing pool, watching westerns and loved reminiscing about his granny.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, May 20, 2024, 2:00PM, at West Center Chapel. INTERMENT: St. John Cemetery, Bellevue, NE
Memorials will be directed by the family.
