Leona Ann Era
March 23, 1930 – April 17, 2025
Leona Ann Era passed away at the age of 95. A devoted and loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she found Joy and comfort in her family. friends, and her faith. In 1947, she graduated from South High School and three years later 1n 1950, married her husband of fifty-three years, Anthony Era, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; daughter, Deborah Marie Era; son-in-law, Kevin L. Duhrkopf. She is survived by her family members, son, Anthony Era. Jr.; grandson, Michael Era; great-grandson and great-granddaughter, Nicholas and Emily Era; stepdaughters, Rosalyn Marie Goodwin and Patricia Ann Wood, and their families.
In addition to being a homemaker, Leona supported her husband’s business ventures by providing administration and bookkeeping. She enjoyed numerous hobbies like ceramics, quilting, and baking. She was an advocate for education and found the success of her adult children and grandchildren to be a source of pride. She helped raise her grandson after her daughter’s death and played an active role in parenting. Leona also played a pivotal role supporting her great-grandchildren throughout their lives. She developed a significant and loving bond with both that grew until her passing. In her later years, she enjoyed trips abroad with her son and son-ln-law and enjoyed numerous visits and phone conversations with her stepdaughters.
She will be remembered affectionately by her Family and many friends she made throughout the years.
