VISITATION: Thursday, April 13th, 5pm at the West Center Chapel, with CELEBRATION OF LIFE at 7pm. INTERMENT: Friday, April 14th, 1:30pm at Omaha National Cemetery, with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family.

Leonard “Lee” George Becker, age 83, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed from this life on March 24, 2023. Lee was born on March 26, 1939, in Oakshela, Sask. Canada to parents Rev. Philip and Eleanore (Lohmeyer) Becker. He grew up in Yorkton, Sask. Canada and relocated to Falls City, NE, when his father accepted a call to Christ Lutheran Church there.

He became a naturalized US citizen in August 1960. He meet his future wife, Janice Schulenberg, in Falls City, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August 2022. After serving 2 years in the US Army, they moved to Omaha, where he enjoyed a long career with the IBM Corporation.

He loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the St. Louis Cardinals. He and Jan had season tickets to UNO Maverick hockey games for 22 years. He was very proud of donating 30 gallons of blood to the Red Cross and bowling a perfect 300 game in 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his wife; sister, Dorothy Klause; children: Teresa (Julie), Winona Azure, Jason (Meggan); grandchildren: Teigan and Maddux Becker, Kaley Cubrich, Brandon (Tiffany) Deming and great-grandson, Wynston.
