January 20, 1949 – February 7, 2023

Worked for Frank Stoysich Meats for over 50 years.

Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Albina (Zuchniak) Gunia, Sr., brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Bonnie Gunia, Jr., sister, Margaret Mary Gunia, brother-in-law, Warren Grieb

Survived by wife of 52 years, Mary Lou; daughters Karen Harris (Brad) and Debbie Rife (Burt); grandchildren: Kyle Harris (Hannah), Annorah Harris, Joseph, Benjamin, and Allison Rife; sisters, Mary Ann Grieb and Lori Kelly (Rich); brother, Richard Gunia (Rosemary); uncle, Joseph Zuchniak; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family will receive friends Sunday, February 12th, from 2-4PM at West Center Chapel with a Vigil Service at 4PM.

Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, February 13th, 10:30AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church

Interment: St. John’s Cemetery

Memorials are suggested to Mercy High School or to Holy Cross Catholic Church Human Needs.

    Leonard was such a good guy who always made me smile when I came into Stoysich. Dear Mary Lou and family – you were so blessed to have Leonard, and he was blessed to have you. My deepest sympathy to you.

    so sorry to hear of your loss. our daughter was a nurse and took care of leonard for a long time. our thoughts and prayers are with you

    So sorry to hear of Leonard’s passing. WE had many good times together way back when. Always a good friend. Leaving a great legacy with his family and friends.
