Preceded in death by parents, Dolores and Stephen Scigo; nephew, C.J. Shafer. Survived by sisters, Janet Shafer and Theresa Rude; brothers, Stephen Scigo and Robert Scigo; nieces: Terri Shafer, Trisha Rude, Michelle Rude, Elizabeth Larson, and Sarah Scigo; nephews: Stephen Scigo, Joshua Larson, and Eric Scigo.
VISITATION: Monday, August 9th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, August 10th at 1pm, West Center Chapel. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials will be directed by the family.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Leonard’s family for their loss!
Leonard lived his life like there was no tomorrow. He was always willing to go the extra mile for people, including his family. I know how my parents felt about Leonard when they were alive. They saw in him a man who put people first in his life. He enjoyed playing hockey in his younger days at Hitchcock Park & people enjoyed watching him play. As his body took a toll from all the licks he gave & those he got in return, he finally gave up playing the sport he loved & settled for being a spectator on his recliner while watching hockey on TV. My Guardian Angel informed me that St. Peter has picked Leonard as his #1 Draft Choice on the “Polish Prophets” hockey team.
Leonard, may God grant you eternal rest!

Rest In Peace Uncle Leonard. You were the kindest, most caring person that always made sure family came first. I will miss you and will never forget the memories we had from Lancer hockey games, Husker football parties, Christmas & Santa and all the other family get-together’s. Love your Terri baby.

So sorry for the loss of Leonard. I enjoyed visiting with him at Lancer games and working with him on the board. Love and prayers to your family.

RIP Cousin Leonard!!! You will be missed and loved forever. Until we meet again. You have gained your wings and now you can look after all of us here on Earth and protect us and pray for us that we too will be able to have Eternal Rest in Heave with you, your Parents, and My Parents. Love you Len.

I worked part time with Leonard at a local grocery store. He was quite the character, good person and soul God Bless to the family.
