VERSCHUUR, LeRoy L. Jack Jul 15, 1938 Jun 12, 2013 Age 74; Omaha, NE. Jack was born in Aurora, llinois to Alma and LeRoy Sr., then moved to Tilden, Nebraska where he grew up hunting and fishing with his brother Larry. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1960 and earned his Masters from Creighton and PhD in Finance from UNL. He married Carol McVicker in 1961 before serving in the Air Force overseas, where they developed a life-long passion for travel and skiing. A devoted husband of 51 years, father of three, college professor, and executive at Mutual of Omaha, Jack is survived by his loving wife Carol; children: Susan, Cynthia Marlin (Michael), and Mark (Dusanka); grandchildren: Nathan, Angelina, and Alexandra. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Friday, August 9th at 11am at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden, Nebraska. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Tilden.
