Omaha, Nebraska – It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Linda Louise Barrientos. She passed away peacefully with family at her side on January 15, 2024, at the age of 76 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Linda was born on April 12, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska to Pauline Violante and Clifford Dukes. She grew up in a loving home surrounded by her siblings, Sandra (Dukes) Furgison and Gerard Dukes.

Linda married Alex Barrientos in April of 1963 and was a devoted and loving mother to three children: Alex Jr., Lamont, and Natalie. She was a loving grandparent to Talia Barrientos, daughter of Lamont and Julie (Dolezal) Barrientos, and a cherished auntie to Rhonda Furgison, Stacie (Furgison) Vazzano, their children and the dozens of Barrientos family nieces and nephews. She touched many lives with her compassion and kindness, and although she was often in pain, she remained strong, positive, and happy. She was preceded in death by husband, Alex; child, Alex Jr.

Linda will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her, and her memory will live on forever in us.
