Linda Marie Jordan (Vampola)
September 11, 1953 – February 20, 2023
Linda was born in Nebraska to John Vampola and Anna Vampola. She grew up in South Omaha. She married David Klimiuk Sr. and had one son, David Klimiuk Jr. David Senior passed, and she remarried a couple of times thru-out her life, lastly to Guy ‘Toby’ Jordan, who has also since passed away.
Linda spent time going to Capitol Beauty School when she was younger and also at Commercial Optical downtown. While she always liked doing hair, she went on to Bartend at more than a few South Omaha Bars, Namely Hucks Tavern, the Welcome Inn, The Outpost, and Babes. She spent much of her time in various softball, pool, and shuffleboard leagues, as well as Bowling Leagues.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends: between visiting family in Ord, Family reunions on the Kraft side (the horseshoe tournaments), and partying down at Iske Park with some of her oldest and dear friends: Donnie and Sheryl, Brenda and Bill; Bruce and Vicky; Charlie and Sharon; and many, many more friends.
She moved away for a few years to Washington with her husband, Toby. She flew out her oldest grandson, Tyler, and mom, Annie, to spend time with. She loved spending time with Toby but also enjoyed moving back home.
As her mom grew older, she helped take care of her in Ord, where she had moved for several years before moving back to Omaha/Bellevue, where she was living when she passed.
What she loved the most was being a Mom. She was stubborn, hard-headed, and fought like hell to get things her way at times. But she did this all out of love.
I could go on for pages and pages with memories: her taking me up to the Outpost to sing Polka on Sunday nights. Her getting stuck in the neck with a Lawn Dart at one of the Kraft reunions and her always, and I mean always, making sure I had everything I had wanted growing up, even if it meant sacrificing on her end for me to have it. The countless trips for my bowling tournaments and Baseball games. But then, what would we be able to talk to people about at her Celebration of Life?
Please share below any stories you have of my mom, and I mean any story just for the memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Vampola and Anna Vampola(Kraft); husbands, David Klimiuk Sr. and Guy ‘Toby’ Jordan; brother-in-law Roger Stethem.
She is survived by her son, David Klimiuk Jr. (Rachel); stepdaughter, Rebecca Hofsheier (Kendall); brother and sisters: John Vampola (Mary Lou), Patty Stethem, Marcia Thie (Bernie); stepsons, John Thompson (Tasha) and Brett Thompson; grandchildren: Tyler, Jacob, Deja, Ariana, AJ, Cameron, Kailyn, and Kenzli; great-grandchildren: James, Ben and Olivia; nieces and nephews: Tammi Knutson (Darci), Tim Stethem (Lisa), Jennifer Grooms (Jeff), Becky Bruce, Spencer Vampola, Matthew Thie (Michelle), Benjamin Thie, Marissa Geisler (Scot); great-nieces and nephews: Justin, Jade (Taylor), Kaisha (Tyler), Jenessa (Kon), Jianna, Abbigail, Austin, Addison, Whitney, Grant, Tori, Enzo Reed, Kaitlyn, Brenna, Madden, Benjamin Cannon, and Keller.

I love you Mom.
I spent a lot of time at Annie’s growing up and hanging out with Patty. I always remember Linda having music playing and dancing, teaching us dances. She was always having a good time and made sure to include every one around her. I was sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers to you and the family.
Went to school at Bancroft with Linda. Played pool with her and her cousin Beth at Outpost Bar. Introduced her to her first husband David Klimiuk. Knew her mom Annie. Partied with her and her family and friends. So long my friend Until We Meet Again !!!
