Lisa Anne Reed

Lisa Anne Cornelison Reed

August 2, 1977- January 1, 2025

Lisa loved and lived life to the fullest. She loved doing trips and other activities with her girls, loved to travel, ride her bike, run, and watching football. She was always doing something with her many friends, whom she loved. She had a very full and busy life. She is the second child of Gloria and Jerry Cornelison. In their eyes, she was very much-loved and a gift from God. Lisa was also the little sister of brother, Scott. Her Dad nicknamed her “Buggy” when she was a baby and the name stuck for many, many years. She was also very hyper and everything she did was fast.

She was blessed with two daughters, Hailey Jo and Lilly Diana, who were the pride and joy of her life. Lisa was an excellent mom and was very active in their various activities and fully supported them.

In February 2023, Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was devastated. After chemo, radiation, a double mastectomy, lots of prayers – in 2024, she became cancer free. It was one of the happiest days of her life.

Lisa’s first experience with school at the age of 4 was Aldersgate Pre School. She loved it and made new friends, some of whom are still her friends.

She then attended kindergarten thru eighth grade at St. Bernadette Catholic School; ninth thru twelfth grades at Gross High School; and then Kearney University, where she graduated from. Lisa loved participating in softball, cross-country, track, and volleyball.

She was very competitive. One of the comments from teachers was “She has so much energy, she could light up the city.” She wrote short stories and poetry. She was also a Girl Scout – loved selling those cookies, and gymnastics.

Lisa’s career days began at JC Penney’s; Sam’s Club; Lowes; and lastly Nebraska Med. She always loved her work, and most of all, the friends she made at each location, many are still good friends.

As a child she loved stuffed animals, which she had a lot of, and Legos, which she was very good at designing various projects. She also loved Strawberry Shortcake, Snow White and Dopey. She loved lemons and ate them constantly. She also had a cocker spaniel (Taffy) who she loved to play with and train.

Lisa became an avid football fan. She knew a great deal about football. In her home, she always had more than one TV on to catch a game. Her favorite teams were the Nebraska Cornhuskers and New England Patriots whose jerseys and sweatshirts were a constant attire. She also played Fantasy Football. She had a very soft spot for pets and became a fur mom to FiFi (a guinea pig), Chloe (her cat) and three dogs – Lola, Millie, and Roxy. She avidly walked her dogs around her neighborhood regardless of the weather. They were (are) very spoiled and look forward to their walks to the point you can’t use the word, walk, around her house or they would be standing at the door ready to go.

Lisa is survived (and will be sadly missed) by her daughters, Hailey Jo and Lilly Diana; parents, Gloria and Jerry Cornelison; brother, Scott (Suzanne)j; niece, Katelyn; nephew, Carson.

I am heart broken! I only spent a mere 5 years working with Lisa but I came to know her as a fun loving, charismatic fireball. From our trip to Beaumont for hurricane relief, to dying my hair pink, to paying a visit to KC to decorate my hotel room when I made the hard decision to leave Omaha, Lisa always kept me on my toes and filled me with fond memories. She was a Rockstar in my book and I hope her lovely daughters follow in her foot steps!

I am saddened about this whole ordeal. I worked with Lisa at Lowe’s. She warmed up to me over the years and we became friends. My heart goes out to her girls….i wish the best for them and the family….. my deepest condolences 💐

Lisa will be dearly missed.I knew Lisa for almost 20 years. Lisa and I worked together at both Sam’s Club and Lowe’s. She said come to Lowe’s it will be fun and it sure was with her there! It’s not the places you work but the people you meet along the way. My heart is broken! She was such an amazing, compassionate and kind best friend. She had so many best friends which is understandable. She was so bubbly and lit up a room!
I feel truly blessed to have had Lisa in my life. She will always hold a special place in my heart. So many fond memories. Love you my dear friend always and forever.

Lisa was my college roommate for 3 years at UNK. We did everything together! There is no way I would have made it without her. It’s a good thing there were no smart phones or social media back then. It’s a wonder we survived! Lisa, you were one of a kind! There’s no one else who could make me laugh as hard as you did. We had the best times! Tennis… Baskin Robbin’s… Jet skiing… Lear Jet’s… Face Down on the farm… The cookies in Cheri’s Camaro… Trips to Denver… DOPEY! Subway-How you could eat 2 foot longs, I’ll never know! Parallel parking…. “Fixing” the gas furnace… TCBY… the rabbit in the dorm… Hiding our alcohol when Jer and Glo came to visit… JANE GREEN!! Jumping out of a box for T-Rah’s birthday dressed as a clown! The list is endless! Thank you for your friendship, laughs, and memories. Rest easy, Lisa, you will never be forgotten.❤️

My deepest condolences to Lisa’s family and loved ones🙏🏿
I had the pleasure of working with Lisa at her time at Lowe’s for 7 years she was an amazing, joyful person that was a pleasure to work with. The only three things I knew to be true about Lisa but she was compassionate about her work, passionate about her family and dedicated to her football.
    She will be missed❤️

I am absolutely heart-broken about the loss of Lisa. She was one of the funniest people I have ever had the honor of spending time with! We hung out a lot in our mid 20s/early 30s and there was nobody better to dance and have a good time with. I am so sorry for this big loss, especially for her beautiful girls, who she was so very proud of. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and Lisa is already missed greatly.

I am very sorry for your loss; Lisa was one of my favorite colleagues to work with and she will be missed. She brought that fiery spirit and her humor to each encounter. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
