Lisa Irene Arnold, whose carefree attitude and larger than life personality touched the lives of many, passed away suddenly on February 17th in her home with her beloved partner, Butch Bendorf by her side.

Lisa made her grand entrance into this world on October 16, 1970; quickly wrapping her parents, Robert “Bob” and Dorothy Arnold, around her little fingers. Being the baby of the family Lisa looked up to her three older brothers and two older sisters but made sure they knew just because she was the baby didn’t mean she couldn’t keep up with them.  Lisa followed in her mother’s footsteps and spent the majority of her life working in the health care field, first as a CNA and eventually graduating with her Associate Degree in Nursing and then on to receive her Certificate in Massage Therapy.  However, Lisa’s proudest title was that of Aunt.  She loved her nieces and nephews and cherished her time with each of them. In 2012, during a blind date, Lisa met the man who calmed her wild side and made her heart skip a beat. In 2013 Lisa moved in with Butch and they started building a home and life together.

Lisa never met a stranger and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her was sure to end up laughing. Her quick and sometimes inappropriate sense of humor made her presence unforgettable, but it was Lisa’s unbelievably huge heart that made her admired and loved by all.  The memories that are scattered throughout this world with an imprint of Lisa’s soul on them are too many to count. This world and our lives are better because she was in it and her legacy of love and laughter will be forever shared.

Lisa was preceded in death by her infant baby boy, Liam Patrick Arnold; father and mother, Robert and Dorothy Arnold; brothers, Michael and Jeffery Arnold; nephew, Dalton Arnold.

Lisa made a difference in so many lives with her smile and quick wit. She was caring,, empathetic, and compassionate to others who needed special attention and love at New Cassel and the Franciscan Center.

I was so very sad to hear of Lisa’s passing. Your family has had so much loss….my heart breaks for you! I wanted you to know that we are praying for all of you. Though I’m in New Jersey, I watched the service today, which was so very beautiful. What a blessing to be able to watch! How thankful we are for the promise that this is not the end for Lisa but a beautiful beginning. It is those that she leaves behind that grieve and must move on. We will continue to pray.
