Lisa Pontier Harris

Lisa Pontier Harris

January 30, 1968 – March 2, 2023

Lisa Pontier Harris, precious wife, mom, sister, and friend, departed her loving family on March 2, 2023.

Lisa Anne Harris was born in Dayton, Ohio, on January 30, 1968. Lisa’s parents were Susan Rodgers Reagan and Jim Pontier.

Lisa was mother to Brandon, Tyler, Sumner, Carter, Caleb, and Cole. She and Randy raised them with sacrificial and unconditional love.

Lisa was the happiest when her home was filled with family, friends, and laughter. Lisa loved watching the boys play baseball, playing bocce ball with her family, and making caps for newborns at her hospital. Lisa was most proud of her beautiful family; her devoted husband and loving sons, and the men they have become.

As a Registered Nurse, Lisa began her career at Richard Young Behavioral Health in 1992 and moved to Nebraska Medicine in 2003 – 19 years in L&D and the remainder of time was spent at the Bellevue Emergency Department.  Lisa will be remembered for her Christ-like love, compassion, empathy, kindness, and care. Lisa was very proud to have worked as a SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) nurse at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Lisa is survived by Randy Harris, her loving husband of 30 years; her sons, and their life-long significant others: Brandon (Courtney Eastman), Sumner (Sierra Self), Carter (Meghan Gregory), Tyler (Steffany Saccany), Caleb, Cole; grandchildren, Charlie and Jameson.

Aside from her husband and her sons, Lisa is survived by her father, Jim Pontier; brother, Matthew Pontier; sisters: Nicole Pontier-Carrels, Cathy Reagan Sheffield, and Jennifer Selby; Aunt Mary Anne Moroney; childhood friend, Kathy Weber; more friends than can be listed. Lisa was the most loved person.

Visitation with Family: March 18, 2023, 2:00 – 4:00 PM followed by A Celebration of Life, 4:00 PM,  all at West Center Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts in her memory to: St. Jude (stjude.org/celebratelisa) or the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (ovarian.org).

Randy and family-I’m praying for you during the heartbreak of losing Lisa. I worked with her at Richard Young and she was one of my favorite people. She was intelligent, a hard worker, empathetic, a problem-solver ,and fun . Being around her was one of the highlights of my day. Heavens gain is this worlds loss

Lisa has left a print in all our hearts. Her love for family showed by her sharing stories, pictures and by the way she expressed how important they were to her. She was a hardworking nurse and team player. I will miss her laughter, crazy comments and facial expressions. She could just look at me and I’d know what she was thinking. She will be missed Forever in our hearts my friend. Praying for peace and understanding for her family and friends during this time.

Condolences. My favorite redheaded niece. An Angel on earth and now an Angel in heaven.

I am sending my sympathy in the loss of your dear wife and mother. I know she was so proud of her boys. I’m a cousin of the Pontier guys and met Lisa through my aunt Florence DeVries and then we found each other again through my sister, Lois. Then we touched base occasionally on social media. She will surely be missed. She brought such joy. My condolences.
