Rosalie F. Llewellyn June 1, 1934 – June 12, 2015 Rosalie F. Llewellyn, age 81, surrounded by family, died on Sacred Heart Friday, June 12, 2015. Rosalie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Proleika, Sr., her mother, Anna, and her brother, Joseph, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Ann Marie (John) Heaney of New Jersey. Rosalie is also survived by her husband, Arden; children: Denys (Joseph) Koziar, Shawn (Sophie) Llewellyn, Susan Llewellyn, Deborah (Michael) Rowe, Mark (Deborah) Llewellyn, Lisa (Gregory) Malone, Arden (Sara) Llewellyn, III, and James (Amy) Llewellyn; 27 grandchildren: Thomas, Genevieve, Jessica, Dominic, Joshua, Anthony, Paul, Michael, James, Aaron, Patrick, Grace, John Paul, Rachel, Jacob, Charlotte, Samuel, Alexander, Hannah, Zachary, Jesse, Leo, Angelina, Cristian, Ashley, Nathan, and Colin; two great grandchildren, Michael II, and one due in September. Rosalie was born in Luzerne, PA on June 1, 1934 and raised in nearby Forty Fort, PA. She was a school cheerleader, graduating from Forty Fort High School in June 1952. She worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. until she wed her high school sweetheart, her beloved, Arden, on June 15, 1957, after he graduated from the USNA and was commissioned in the USAF. Rosalie loved and was devoted to country and family, but first to God and His Son through a lifelong commitment to the Catholic faith. Rosalie loved music. She enjoyed playing the guitar and passed on her enjoyment by giving guitar lessons to many students. Most especially she was passionate about church music and spent much time leading various choir groups on several Air Force bases. She was the Catholic parish music director and choir director for many years on Offutt AFB. Rosalie was fond of people and developed many, many friendships over the years. She was a vibrant and strong person until troubled by medical problems in the past 15 years. Despite those problems, she was always courageous and joyful. SACRED HEART OF JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU. VISITATION begins Thursday, June 25th at 6pm, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm at the West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Friday, June 26th at 10:30am at St. Columbkille Catholic Church. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Sancta Familia Medical Foundation.
