LOGEMAN, Catherine A., “Cathy”

Catherine A. “Cathy” Logeman July 8, 1939 – July 21, 2016 Catherine was born July 8, 1939 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She grew up in Woodbine, Iowa and graduated from high school in 1956. She moved to Omaha to start a career with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company at the age of sixteen. She met and fell in love with Gene Logeman and was married on February 8, 1964. This year they celebrated their 52nd anniversary. Gene and Cathy welcomed their daughter Susan into the world in February of 1966, followed by three sons: Steven in June of 1967, Scott in March of 1969, and Spencer in August of 1970. Cathy was a homemaker for many years and later returned to work for the phone company. She retired from Lucent Technologies. In her retirement years she enjoyed gatherings with friends and family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Catherine passed away on July 21, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cleo Hickey. She is survived by her husband, Gene E. Logeman; daughter, Susan Clapp (Jay); sons: Steven Logeman (Christina), Scott Logeman (Christy Weller), and Spencer Logeman (Tiffany); grandchildren: Sarah Clapp, Emma Clapp, Donny Clapp, Avry Logeman, Sam Logeman and Owen Logeman; sister, Jayne McBride (Karol “Mac”); nephews, Jeff Dinsmore (Sarah) and Josh Dinsmore (Traci); nieces: Kristy Bielenberg, Pam Jones and Judy Kincaid; grandnieces and grandnephews. “There is one thing Alzheimer’s cannot take away, and that is love. Love is not a memory-it’s a feeling that resides in your heart and soul.” <><><><><><><><><><><><<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> The family will receive friends Monday, July 25th, from 5pm to 7pm, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm, all at the Bel Air Chapel, 12100 W. Center Rd. SERVICES Tuesday, July 26th at 10:30am, Bel Air Chapel. Entombment, Calvary Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or Alzheimer’s Association.
