Lois A. Baty

Lois A. Baty, age 84, of Logan, Iowa passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at her home. Lois was born March 21, 1928 in Harrison County, Iowa to Daniel S. P. and Edith Mae (Arnold) Michael. She graduated from the Logan High School with the class of 1946. Lois owned and operated a trucking business and Harmony Inn at Geno’s, she also worked at the Harrison County Courthouse. Lois retired in 1987 and moved to Portland, Oregon, in 2006 she moved back to Logan. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene Hansen, grandson Carrick Kiersch, five brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband Jack E. of Logan, Iowa; daughters: Christine Kiersch and husband Charlie of Fremont, Nebraska; Paula Heim and husband Steve of Persia, Iowa; Tracey Plambeck and husband Sam of Persia, Iowa; grandsons: Castan (Angela) Kiersch of Danville, Pennsylvania; Cameron (Christa) Kiersch of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; Barrett Heim of Logan, Iowa; granddaughers: Emmy Heim of Persia, Iowa; Sara Plambeck (Paul) Cassidy of San Antonio; Texas; Morgan Plambeck of Persia, Iowa; great-grandsons: Gavin Heim, Cameron Kiersch, Rylan Kiersch, Hayden Benson, Keaton Benson; great-granddaughters: Tillie Heim, Audrey Benson and Zoe Heim; sisters: Donna Mae Plummer and Eleanor Rupp; sister-in-laws: Erma Michael, Betty Michael and Carol Michael; brother-in-law: Bill Hack. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. In Loving Memory Of Lois A.
