Lois Stewart Hawkins
September 26,1929 – August 3, 2025
Lois died August 3,2025 with family by her side. She was born in Minneapolis MN. and raised in LaMoure,ND. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN., Graduating in 1951 with a business and education degree.
Lois’ love for her family came naturally and first. She was active in the church, teaching Sunday school, involved in women’s groups and working with Stephen’s ministry. She was a 50 year member of P.E.O., an avid bridge player, enjoyed playing tennis and golf, and traveled the world with Harris’ work. Retiring from Real Estate sales in 1989, Lois and Harris split their retirement time between Rio Verde AZ., and Breckenridge,CO. They returned to Omaha in their later years to be close to family.
Preceded in death by her husband Harris and daughter Dr. Patricia Hawkins Leonard. Survived by children Charles Hawkins (Jane), Katherine Hawkins (Kandie Borchman); grandchildren, Eleanor Hawkins, Grace Leonard, Brittni Redding (Chad); great-grandchildren, Cale and Reese Redding.
A family service and Interment will be held in Rio Verde, Arizona.

Lois was our Realtor when we moved to Leawood West back in 1983. She also purchased our existing home, and then sold it! Lois was a consummate professional, and I have fond memories of her. Our sincere condolences to the Hawkins family for your loss.
