Loren Lee Lachnit
August 25, 1935 – May 4, 2023
Loren Lee Lachnit, 87, of Gretna, Neb. passed away on May 4, 2023, at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Neb. Loren was born on August 25, 1935, in Humphrey, Nebraska. He graduated from Humphrey High School in 1953. On June 28, 1958 he was united in marriage to Carol Jo Marik in Howells, Nebraska and later the couple moved to Omaha.
Loren began his career with Western Electric as an installer in Grand Island and North Platte. Later, he was promoted to equipment engineer with Northwestern Bell. After he retired from Northwestern Bell, he worked for several off-shoot telephone companies. His final retirement was in 2004.
Loren was active in St. Patrick’s church in Gretna, NE. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Loren is survived by his children, Steven Lachnit, Craig (Lynette) Lachnit, Lisa (Mitch) Henry; grandchildren: Jake Lachnit, Jenna Reed, Liz (Eric) Lachnit-Fields, Spencer Lachnit, Cassandra (Tyler) Schoening, Skyler Henry, and Shelby Henry; and great-grandchildren: Duke, Truman, Sedonna, Marik, and Lyle. Loren was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Jo; son, Scott; parents, Cyril and Sedona (Whittler) Lachnit; his sister, Marlene Olson; brother-in-law, William Olson; and sister, Karen Lachnit.
FUNERAL: Friday, May 26th at 11:00 am at the West Center Chapel. INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at West Center Chapel Community Room.

So sorry for your loss! It is hard to believe in 3 years we have lost 3 family members! It is difficult to believe they are no longer with us but are missed every day and will remain forever in our hearts by all the loving memories!
