Lori Donette Kappert

Lori Donette Kappert

December 18, 1961 – February 8, 2024

Lori Donette Kappert, beloved daughter, sister and mother, peacefully passed away on February 8, 2024, with family by her side. She was born to John and Karen Kappert on December 18, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Lori was a very adorable, pleasant, and easy-going person from the start. She was talented and creative in many ways, from art and dance to her connection with nature. Animals were naturally attracted to her and would come to her as if she were one of their own. She was very smart, received good grades and had a strong drive to succeed, which evolved into being very stubborn, as all of her family and friends know all too well. She wanted to be the best at everything she did. Lori loved cooking for others, her plants, doing crafts with her grandchildren, knitting, reading and the great music of the ’70s. Lori was a very expressive and personal individual who could talk to anyone and everyone about anything and everything. She touched many people’s lives in numerous ways. Her infectious smile and laughter will be deeply missed.

Lori is survived by her parents, Karen Kappert and John Kappert (Jane); siblings: Rodney (Sandra), Toni and Audrea; her son, Justin (Sherry); four grandchildren; many cousins; and her beloved cats, Eeyore and Stevie Nicks.

John, we are so sorry for your loss. Had I known about it I would have been there. We finally decided to give up the World Herald. The death of a child of any age is a tragedy.. God bless and comfort you and your family. Know that others care. Wrex and Mary

John, this is so difficult to believe. No parent should lose their child, at any age! I’m thinking I met Lori when she was a young child but not since. God bless you and the family. My heart breaks for you.
