Lorraine F. Vashon

June 4, 1937 – May 15, 2025

Lorraine (Miller) Vashon, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully May 15, 2025 at the age of 87. Born on June 4, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska, Lorraine grew up with a strong spirit and a generous heart that shaped her life and the lives of those around her.

A proud graduate of Omaha South High School, Lorraine excelled both academically and athletically, earning a varsity letter in girls’ basketball—an early testament to her determination and strength.

In 1955, she married the love of her life, Harold Vashon. Together, they built a life and raised four children with care, laughter, and devotion.

Lorraine dedicated much of her professional life to FDR/CSG, where she served as a purchasing and facility manager. Her work ethic, attention to detail, and leadership earned the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout her long career.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Lorraine was deeply involved in her church community, volunteering as a religious educator and giving generously of her time and energy to support others. Her life was a quiet testament to service, compassion, and unwavering belief.

Lorraine had a special love for animals, particularly dogs, whose loyal companionship brought her great joy over the years.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and dedication. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
