Louis J.Persiani, Lt. Col USAF (Ret.),

PERSIANI-Louis John “Louie”, 81, of Bellevue, Nebraska, died on June 17, 2006. Louis died peacefully of natural causes surrounded by family. He was born on June 2, 1925, in Stamford, Connecticut, to Luigi and Alvisa Persiani. Louie grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, and graduated from Stamford High School in 1943, attended Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1979. Louie served proudly and with honor in the U.S. Air Force from 1943-1978 and had a distinguished career as a Lt. Colonel serving two tours in Vietnam, Okinawa, Greece, as well as numerous bases in the states. He cherished many long lasting friendships throughout his career. Louie was a faithful and devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was also a member of the F.O.E.3912. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf. Louie is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Jacqueline; daughter and son-in-law, Jacquie and John Pester daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and David Jarrin; daughters, Barbara Persiani and Dana Persiani; granddaughters, Jordan and Jarren Pester and Taylor Jarrin; sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Pete Fairbaugh; and many other loving family members and dear friends. Memorial services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2302 Crawford St., Bellevue, NE on June 26, 2006, at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the name of Louis John Persiani.
