She was preceded in death by husband, Hank; her parents; brother, Melvin.  She is survived by children: Dianne Fulton (Bob), Mike Gzehoviak (Linda), Tim Gzehoviak (Denise), Paula Strickler (Andy), Steve Gzehoviak (Pam), Margo Gzehoviak, Joe Gzehoviak (Robin), Laurie Gassert (Chuck), and Lisa Phillips (Bill); 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

VIGIL SERVICE: Sunday, March 25^th at 7pm at the West Center Chapel with visitation from 5pm to 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday, March 26^th at 10am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.  Interment: Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Louise was born on May 29, 1926 to Wanda Krolikowski and John Bendykowski. She grew up on a farm just outside Loup City, Nebraska, the Polish capitol of Nebraska. She attended District #56 country school with her brother, Melvin. She was always a good speller, and as an 8th grader she came in 2nd place in the County Spelling Bee. Life in the country was simple, but hard work. For entertainment, families gathered to play cards, listened to the radio, and went to town on Saturday nights. For High School Louise moved to town and lived with Grandma Krolikowski and her aunts and uncles that were close in age. She remembered Saturday night dances at the Wickman Pavilion. After High School Louise worked as a Secretary for Triple A Insurance doing shorthand and typing. Her Uncles, Al and Carl, introduced her to her husband, Henry “Hank” Gzehoviak. They dated for a year before marrying on July 19, 1948. After their third child was born, Louise and Hank moved to Omaha, where they had 6 more children.

She will be remembered as a loving, self-sacrificing wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma.
