Louise Ann (Majerus) Nissen

Louise Ann (Majerus) Nissen

March 10, 1931 – December 14, 2021

In Loving Memory of our mom, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother

Louise was born in Boone County, Nebraska on March 10, 1931 and passed away at her home on December 14, 2021. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Nissen; father, Joseph Majerus; mother, Hilda (Daniels) Majerus; her brother, Donald of Petersburg, Nebraska; and sister, Bernita of Omaha, Nebraska.

Louise is survived by her sister, Eleanor of Wisner, Nebraska; sons: Alan Nissen of Keokuk, Iowa, Dean Nissen (Liz) Omaha, and Brian Nissen (Debbie) of Omaha; daughters: Sherry Lenssen of Ontario, Canada, Vicki Nissen of Marshall, Missouri, Lori Nissen of Omaha, and Suzie Ramos (José) of Bellevue, Nebraska.

Louise had eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren: (Sherry’s) – Brandon who has (Bianca and Kolby), Shan-nan who has (Jakob and Chanse) and Jorden who has Charlotte (Dean’s) – Jason (Vicki’s) – Aaron who has Grayson – Shawna who has (Haylee, Nathan, Christian and Kalli) – Josh (Lori’s) – Angie who has (Cory-Gage and Luke)-(Brian’s)-Sara who has (Myca-Kassidy-Tryston-Sygha and Leger), Sean who has (Olivia), Kyle, Jace, Evan, Thomas who has (Tavia, Aaylus, Tru and Amelia) Brent who has (Talen, Neveah, Jordyn, Kayla, Bron, Brent III and Clover) and Derek (Suzie’s) – Amanda, Jake who has (Garet and Olivia), José, Taylor who has (Aiden and Melody), Elijah and Tristian.

Louise had two great-great-grandchildren, Willadean and Caroline Grace.

Our mom was a wonderful person with a good heart and great sense of humor. She probably read all the books out there and even the back of cereal boxes if she had nothing else to read. She was an avid KC Royals fan, and she watched Jeopardy and Wheel of fortune religiously.  We would have to say that she was one of the smartest people we knew. We all have learned so much from her—she would always pick up the phone when you were stumped on a trivia question.

We will miss you, mom and know that you take a piece of each of our hearts with you.

My sincere condolences to all of you. Annette and I were at Mom’s today and were able to watch the service with her. So sorry we didn’t know ahead off time we would have gotten her there. Mom sends her love to all of you and has such fond memories of her sister Louise. Annette and I send our love too. Prayers to all.
