Lyla J. Elofson
November 15, 1928 – June 25, 2018
Loving wife, mother and grandmother. Longtime Bellevue kindergarten educator, retiring in 1988. She sends love out to her many students at Bertha Barber and Twin Ridge Elementary Schools. She loved taking part in the development of so many young souls and took much joy in meeting them later in their lives.
Preceded in death by husband of 67 years, Robert W. Elofson; daughter, Jerine Elofson Pearson; grandson, Roberto Pearson; parents, Henry and Louise Nelson; sisters, Dorothy Ring and Mae Carlson, and brothers, Harvey Nelson and Neal Nelson. Survived by sons, Martin Pearson, Paul (Cheryl), Timothy (Peg), Stephen; grandchildren, Erica Pearson (Edward Schneider), Cara McQuillan (Ryan), Michael, Christopher, Aaron; great-granddaughters, Emma McQuillan, Elise Schneider, Macy McQuillan and Emilia Schneider.
The family extends its thanks to the caregivers at Papillion Manor for their kindness and compassion.
Services: Friday June 29, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 104 Galvin Road North, Bellevue at 11 AM. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM. Inurnment at Bellevue Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bellevue.

Tim, I remember meeting your lovely parents at a Christmas dinner a few years ago. How fortunate to have such a wonderful mother. My sincere condolences on your loss.
