Lynette M. Anthony
July 6, 1949 – August 19, 2025
Lynette Anthony, 76, died on August 19, 2025, at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE. She was born in Sioux City, IA to Joyce and John Lappe. Lynette grew up in Algona, IA where she graduated as valedictorian of her class. Thereafter, she graduated from NBT Business School in Sioux City. After graduation she moved to Omaha, NE where she worked as computer programmer and project manager for many years.
Lynette Anthony is remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She lived life joyfully through her love of animals, especially dolphins, butterflies and cardinals, reading, fashion, theater, and spending time with family and friends, but most of all, she loved her daughter and grandson.
She was preceded in death by mother, Joyce Lappe and father, John Lappe.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Kelso; grandson, Andrew Kelso; sisters, Jean Marshall and Sheila Hall; brother, David Lappe; stepmother, Angela Lappe; nephews and nieces: Quinn and Casey Marshall, Stephanie and Katelyn Hall, and Megan and Ryan Lappe.
Visitation: Sunday, August 24th, 5-7pm at West Center Chapel.
Funeral: Monday, August 25th, 11am at West Center Chapel.
Interment: Evergreen.

So sad to have lost touch all these years. Rest in Peace, Lynette.
I worked with Lynette at FDR for years. We were good friends. She will be missed. Prayers for Heather.
