Wacker, Lynne A. Apr 19, 1951-Mar 31, 2009 Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family following a courageous battle against cancer. She was loved by many and will be forever missed. Lynne was born in Norfolk, NE to the late Carl J. Troutman and Dorothea (Dorothy) M. Troutman of Winside, NE. Lynne was a lifelong resident of Winside and attended Winside Public Schools where she graduated in 1969. She was united in marriage to the late Robert Donn Wacker on July 25th, 1970 at St. Paul’s Church in Winside. Lynne and Bob have two children, Darren Robert Wacker of Mankato, MN and Jennifer Lynne (Wacker) Doyle of Omaha. Lynne earned her bachelor’s degree and teaching certification from Wayne State College. She taught kindergarten, sixth grade and third grade at Winside Public School until her retirement in 2007. Lynne had a very active social life. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, card club, attending plays and concerts, bike riding, walking, Scrabble club, babysitting her grandson Jack, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Despite the struggles with her health, Lynne was very active until the end and enjoyed several vacations last year. Lynne is survived by her son Darren and her daughter-in-law DeeAnn; her daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Ryan; four grandchildren, Trevin, Kaylyn, McKenna and Jack; four brothers, Darrell (Shirley), Dwight (Judy), Kirk, and Gregg (Carla); one sister, Judy; a mother-in-law, Dottie Wacker; two brothers-in-law, Reed (Melissa) Wacker and Jerry Wacker; and one sister-in-law Diane (Denny) Lowe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Lynne was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Wacker; her parents Carl and Dorothy Troutman, her father-in-law Don Wacker; her brother Gary Troutman and two nephews Michael Wacker and Clint Troutman. VISITATION Friday 5-8pm at Heafey, Heafey, Hoffmann, Dworak and Cutler Funeral Home, 7805 West Center Road in Omaha, NE. Family will attend the visitation from 6-8pm. FUNERAL SERVICES for Lynne will be held Saturday, April 4th at 11am at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 7706 S. 96th Street in LaVista, NE. The family of Lynne A.
