C. Woodrow “Woody” Mallett Jul 1, 1919 – May 31, 2016 Corliss Woodrow Woody Mallett died peacefully on May 31, 2016 in Spring, TX at the age of 96. Woody is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Merrilee and Richard Espinosa; grandson and wife, Brian and Kari Johansen; granddaughter, Sunny Johansen; grandson, Shane Johansen; granddaughter and husband, Tiffany and Aaron Anschutz; great-grandchildren: Shane, Myann, Anders and Leila Johansen, Braxton Eckert-Anschutz, Bennett and Maya Anschutz; loving companion, Anita Nogare. He was preceded in death by wife, Irene Carol Mallett; daughter, Pamela Garvey; and son, Bradley Woodrow Mallett. Woody was born on July 1, 1919 in Omaha, Nebraska to Corliss Corky William Mallett and Hannah Neon Andrews-Mallett. He graduated from Creighton University in 1941 with a degree in Business. He married Irene Hangren in 1948 and began working for Union Pacific Railroad as a Freight Pricing Manager. Over time the couple welcomed two children into their home, Bradley Woodrow and Merrilee Ann. Woody always knew how to make everyone laugh. His loved ones remember him as a kind, funny and loving father, grandfather, friend and companion. He was a witty individual who loved playing bridge, cards and golf and was passionate about his family. He was an active and dedicated member of the The Whos Who, the American Legion, and the VFW. SERVICES Saturday, June 4th at 10:30am at the Bel Air Chapel, 12100 W. Center Rd., with a reception to follow. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. MEMORIAL SERVICE Tuesday, June 7th at 10am at The Conservatory at 8215 Cypresswood Dr. in Spring, TX 77379. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Woodys life. The family would like to thank his loving caregivers for their attentive care and dedication.
