MALOY, Alice Jane “AJ”

Alice Jane “AJ” Maloy Aug 20, 1922 – Aug 17, 2016 Alice Jane, age 93, a long-time resident of New York, was born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to William and Mary Rose Golden on August 20,1922. She was the eldest of five children. She attended Religious of the Sacred Heart Schools at Maplehurst and Manhattanville College. In 1947, AJ married Joseph B Uniacke, Jr. They had six children. Widowed in 1981, she married William J Maloy in 1990. AJ had many talents and worked at many jobs. One of her favorites was working in the Guidance Office of Eastchester High School helping seniors with their college applications. She was thrilled when in 1989 the seniors at Eastchester dedicated their yearbook to her. She loved swimming, sailing, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. AJ was preceded in death by husbands, Joseph Uniacke and William Maloy; brother, Tom Golden; sisters, Rosemary (Cissy) Guinan and Helen McNamara; daughter, Jane Paskowski; and grandson, Michael Paskowski. She is survived by daughter, Ellin Murphy (Dennis); sons:Mike, John, Mark, and Andy Uniacke (Mary); nine stepchildren; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, William Golden (Betty); sister-in-law, Barbara Uniacke; brother-in-law, Colonel Francis McNamara; many nieces and nephews. VISITATION begins Wednesday, August 31st at 10am at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific, followed by MEMORIAL MASS at 11am at the church. A second Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, September 16th at Immaculate Conception Church in New York, with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in New York. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the charity of your choice.
