Marceline Pearl (Howard) Teeters was born April 12, 1929, to Glen and Ruby (Olds) Howard, in Neligh, Nebraska. She was the fifth of eleven children (nine daughters and two sons). The family moved from Neligh to Lincoln after Glen left the family. They managed to survive, and the older siblings got on at the CBQ, later BNSF Railway. Marceline later met and married Charles Teeters. After the birth of their third child, Linda, the family moved to Omaha, where they had five more children, eight in total: three daughters and five sons. They remained married until Charles’ death on September 7, 1979.
Throughout their marriage, Marceline supported the family by working for Penelton Woolen Mills. Later, she worked for Campbell’s Soup until her retirement in 1994. In her later years, Marceline was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Her daughter Linda Walter and son-in-law James “Jim” cared for her until her and Linda’s death on August 13, 2022. Marceline and Linda were loved by all and will be dearly missed.
