Margaret Ann “Peg” Taylor

Margaret Ann “Peg” Taylor

October 27, 1939 – July 28, 2023

In Loving Memory of Margaret A. Taylor

Our cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; granddaughter, Patricia; and her parents, Elizabeth and William.

She is lovingly remembered by her 7 children: Maureen, Colleen, John, Mary Pat, Jim, Bill, and Paul; 5 children-in-law; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim; and sister-in-law, Mary Nan.

Peg was born to Elizabeth and William Pateidl on October 27, 1939, in North Bend, Nebraska. The family spent time in Schuyler, Gordon, and Elkhorn, before finally landing in Omaha where she resided the rest of her life.

She married Richard Taylor on June 13, 1959, shortly after graduating from Holy Name High School. In addition to caring for her family, Peg enjoyed a decades-long career managing dental practices in the Omaha area. The pandemic in 2020 prompted her reluctant retirement at the age of 80.

Peg’s creativity and passion were showcased in her often-shared floral arrangements and innumerable craft projects with her grandchildren. As a grandmother she was ever present at sporting events, recitals, graduations, and any other event important to her family. She had an adventurous spirit, following the bagpipes at the Saint Patrick’s Day parade, making big wins at the casino, and always being first on board for travel plans.

The family wishes to extend the deepest gratitude to all the staff at the assisted living facility Garden View Manor and to the hospice nurses of Suncrest Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Marian High School.
