Margaret E. “Rita” Mayne, age 85

June 10, 1936 – October 23, 2021

Born to Michael and Maggie (Feeney) Finlan in Ballina County Mayo, Ireland.   Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Lorraine Barr and Evelyn Browne; brother, Sean Finlan; nephew, Harry Barr.  Survived by husband of 62 years, Ron Mayne; sons, Michael, Patrick and John Mayne of Omaha, Nebraska, Ron Mayne, Jr. (Carrie) of Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Ryan and Trevor Mayne of San Diego; brother, Michael Finlan (Marie) of Galway, Ireland; nieces and nephews in Lincoln, Nebraska, New Jersey, Arizona and Ireland; Special “American Family,” the Feeney’s of New York.

VIGIL SERVICE: Wednesday, October 27th, 7pm at West Center Chapel with family receiving friends from 5 to 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, October 28th at 11am at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, 3405 S. 118th Street.  Interment: Westlawn Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to Mary Our Queen Catholic Church or to the Siena/ Francis House.

    Condolence’s to Dear Uncle Ron, Michael Patrick John and Con jr, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing, lovely Rita. She a wonderful woman, with a great sense of humour. We have beautiful memories, to treasure. We will miss her dearly, We ended our phone call two weeks ago, with I Love you , ,xxx

    Sending condolences to Uncle Ron and John Mike Patrick and Ronnie on the passing of Auntie Rita who we will miss dearly. She truly was one of a kind, generous of spirit, kind of heart, quick of wit and someone who loved all her family unconditionally. Rest in peace Auntie Rita 🙏

    Deepest sympathy to Ron and all dear Rita’s family. We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Rita. She was a beautiful lady whom we always looked forward to meeting up with when she was on her holidays in Ireland. She would always bring a smile to your face with her good humour and stories she would tell.
    May her gentle soul rest in peace .
    She will always be in our thoughts and prayers

    Sending our deepest condolences to Uncle Ron, Michael, Patrick, John as well as extended family on the passing of beautiful aunt Rita. She will be missed dearly by all. Aunt Rita was a lady who loved to share her stories which made us laugh and entertained a room. May she rest in peace.

    Sending our deepest condolences to you Uncle Ron, Michael, Patrick and John. We will miss her visits to Ireland as she brought some very special memories, good times with lots of laughs. A true lady with a big heart will leave a loss in all our hearts.

    My condolences to the Mayne family. I was good friends with Patrick in high school and fondly remember her valiant efforts to keep him on the up-and-up.
