Margaret May Hughes, age, 93 of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Margaret was born May 1, 1921 to Albert LeRoy and Opal (Stebbins) Vore in Magnolia, Iowa. Margaret Graduated from Logan High School. She married Donald Hughes April 3, 1959. Margaret and Donald lived in Persia, Iowa until they retired then moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa. In 2006 Margaret and Donald moved to Longview Care Center Missouri Valley, Iowa. Margaret helped with the family trucking business in Persia, Iowa. She loved her flowers and plants. Margaret was preceded in death by; her parents, husbands; Floyd Weed and Donald Hughes, sister; Ila Chatburn, brothers; Harvey Vore, Morace Vore, Duane Vore, Step-daughter; Alice Nelsen Survivors include; her son; Jimmy (Daria) Hughes, of Council Bluffs, Iowa grandchildren; Jeannie Hughes, Beth Nelsen, Felicia Nelsen, Gena Nelsen and nieces and nephews Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Community of Christ church following the committal service.
