Margaret M. (McKeighan) Stanesic passed away on Wednesday, February 9th in Omaha, Nebraska. Margaret was born in Harlan, Iowa on April 17, 1940. She was the third oldest of five children born to Dale and Dorothy McKeighan. She graduated from Omaha Tech High School and married Donald E. Stanesic on June 14, 1958. They were happily married for 49 years and had three daughters.
Margaret worked many years in school cafeterias before going to work with Donald in his insurance office. They worked together until their retirement. Sadly, Donald passed away shortly after.
Margaret enjoyed hosting family dinners, playing cards, camping trips, spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Husker Football fan who always wore red on gameday. Margaret’s favorite holiday was Christmas. She enjoyed buying gifts for her family in January and continued buying gifts all year long. Margaret particularly enjoyed putting together “goody” bags for every member of the family. She hosted bingo games and passed out prizes for the winners at the end of the night. Margaret was always looking out for others and their happiness. She volunteered her time and passion for baking to assist with meals for funerals. Margaret enjoyed crafts and activities to be done with her grandkids and many of their friends.
Margaret will be remembered for being a devoted wife, and loving mother. She was preceded in death by husband, Donald; sister, Betty Drews; brothers, Charles and Jerry McKeighan; brother-in-law, Jerome Nelson. She is survived by daughters: Donna Kullman (Robert), Diane Jochum (Bill), Debbie Guinotte (Rick); sister, Catherine Nelson; sisters-in- law, Mary and Helen McKeighan; brother-in-law, Leroy Drews; grandchildren: Kevin Kullman, Justin Kullman (Jessi), Jennifer Claffey (Chris), Derek and Paige Jochum, Patrick (Kendall), Meghan and Mackenzie Guinotte; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Riley Kullman, Kerrington and Charlee Kullman, Calista, Owen, Lillian, Evan and Wyatt Claffey; with many nieces and nephews.

Thinking of you during these difficult days.
WE have great memories of Don and Mag as our neighbors and friends. Our children and theirs played together and we went camping and enjoyed their company. You would never find a nicer family.
Mag is a huge loss to us and her family.
