Margaret Marie “Peggy” Rosso

Margaret Marie “Peggy” Rosso

December 25, 1953 – December 5, 2019

Margaret “Peggy” Rosso was born December 25, 1953.  Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Edie Rosso.  Survived by brothers, Mike Rosso (Luanne), and Pat Rosso; sister, Laura Clark (Greg); nephews, Tony and Nick Rosso and Brian Childers; great-nephew, Dominic Rosso; great-nieces, Taya and Breann Rosso; and two great-great-nephews, Joey and Chessick; along with many cousins.

Peg was born on Christmas day and due to complications of a tangled umbilical cord that was not detected she lacked the necessary oxygen to her brain causing her to have multiple grand mal seizures at the age of two and throughout her life.  The seizures caused extensive damage to her brain resulting in her mental disability which kept her from developing mentally beyond that of a five-year-old, Peg was extremely smart in her own way.  She loved animals, music and to sing to, “Sound of Music & Frozen,” only to name a few!  She enjoyed many other activities but singing and music was the ultimate, even the “My pillow” commercial.

Sister Mary Evangeline started Madonna special needs school and Peg was one of the first students to attend and receive her education.  Peg was able to speak French, read, write, and learn arithmetic, she enjoyed learning and even worked at Encor vocational school for many years.

Peg was childlike and preferred to be called “Princess”.  The simplest things would make Peg happy as a clam, such as Salisbury steak, steak on the grill, Sancho’s, cheese and combo pizza along with new pajamas and matching slipper socks!  Peg loved life and was surrounded by family and friends who loved her, and she had a lot of wit making everyone laugh up to the day she took her last breath!  We had support from family and friends along with Maxim Healthcare who provided us with amazing women to help Peg while my husband and I worked outside of our home.  Peg had a kind heart and innocence, and everyone loved her.  We were blessed to have Peg in all of our lives, and she will be missed.  God bless this wonderful soul!

Family will receive friends Sunday, December 8th from 5pm to 7pm, at the West Center Chapel.  PRAYER SERVICE: Monday, December 9th, 11:30am, West Center Chapel.  INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to Serene Care Hospice.

I will so miss Princess Peg. She was always such a joy. Enjoy our time every time I came to give her a haircut. I will miss that very much. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately I won’t make it to the funeral as we will be out of town.
