BRENNAN, Margaret (Schemel) Oct 5, 1929 – Apr 8, 2013 In loving memory of Margaret Schemel Brennan, who passed away on April 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert H. Brennan; son, Dennis R. Brennan; parents, Dr. Robert and Loretta Schemel; brother and sisters: Rita Jean Huntington, Loretta Trunell, Robert Schemel Jr., Mary Catherine Stewart; granddaughter, Kathleen Riley; great-granddaughter, Jaelyn Henninger. She is survived by her children Marcia (Tom) Riley, Sean (Kathy) Brennan, Terry (Gayle) Brennan and Colleen (Mike) Kirk; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; her sister, Clare Hauptman; many nieces and nephews. Margaret attended Creighton University where she met and married Robert H. Brennan. Following his death in 1991 she returned to Omaha to be close to family and friends. Margaret led a full life, always giving and helping others. Her energy and her love of life were evident in everything she did. Memorials for Margaret are suggested to St. Cecilia Elementary School, E.L.M. at VODEC, or Creighton Prep. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 11, 5pm to 7pm at St. Cecilia Cathedral, with a VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 7pm. FUNERAL MASS Friday, April 12 at 11:15am at St. Cecilia Cathedral. Interment, Calvary Cemetery.
