Marie (Paulus) Roth

Feb 22, 1932 – Mar 21, 2017

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Originally from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Marie attended Northwestern University as an English major and member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority before moving to Omaha, Nebraska. There she raised her family and enjoyed volunteering with multiple organizations.  She had a passion for bridge, travel, her children and grandchildren, music and, most important, her faith.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Sybilla Paulus; brother, John Paulus; and oldest son, Jeffrey Roth.  She is survived by her beloved children, Paul Roth (Kim) and Lisa Freeburg (Tad) of Omaha; four grandchildren: Tony Roth (Sara), Connor Freeburg, Jaeda and Dylan Roth, all of Omaha; brother, Mark Paulus; daughter-in-law, Hollie Roth.

Marie surrounded herself with friends and family who will undeniably remember her warm smile and impeccable style and grace.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 27^th, from 5pm to 7pm at Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak- Cutler, Bel Air Chapel, 12100 W. Center Rd.  FUNERAL Tuesday, March 28^th, at 11am at Lutheran Church of the Master, 2617 S. 114^th St. (East Campus).  Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.

Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Church of the Master or Alzheimer’s Association.
