Marjorie A. Kozal
February 20, 1935 – July 21, 2024
Marjorie Ann “Marge” Kozal was born to Edward and Thelma (Chartré) Labré in Iron Mountain, Michigan. She grew up in Neenah, Wisconsin, and graduated from the Marquette University Dental Hygiene Program. After moving to Omaha with a group of dental hygienist friends, she met the love of her life, William “Bill” Kozal, while he was a student at Creighton University School of Dentistry. They were married at St. Margaret Mary Church in Neenah on July 13, 1957. After living for a few years at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina and back in Neenah while Bill served as an Army dentist in Korea, they returned to Omaha where he set up the dental practice he would have for almost 40 years until his retirement. They were blessed with five children. Marge spent numerous hours volunteering at St. Robert Bellarmine where they were founding members as well as other local organizations. She enjoyed playing tennis, golf and bridge with her close group of friends and attending school and sports activities for her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and created many sewing and craft projects. After Bill retired, they traveled to Europe, Alaska, the Southwest, and often visited their children and grandchildren across the U.S.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband Bill; parents, Edward and Thelma, and her brothers William and James Labré.
She is survived by her five children: Thomas Kozal, Susan (Daniel) Brennan, Michael (Cindy) Kozal, David (Beth) Kozal and Julie (John) Leddy; 13 grandchildren: Katie (Travis Miles) Brennan, Christopher (Eva) Brennan, Adam (Meaghan) Brennan, and Maddy Brennan, Jared Kozal, Jordan Kozal, Logan Kozal, Jacob Kozal, Luke Kozal, Emma Kozal, Grace Kozal, Mia Kozal, and Robert (Emily) Leddy.
