Mark A. Anderson
May 18, 1959 – April 25, 2024
With great sadness we announce the death of Mark, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and dear friend to many. After a short battle with cancer, Mark was called home to Jesus on April 25, 2024.
Mark was born May 18, 1959, in Omaha as a true middle child. He has two older siblings – his brother Rob Anderson (Elaine), and sister Merry Peterson. He has two younger siblings – brother Jay Anderson (Terri) and sister Julie Brown (Jerry).
Mark graduated from Creighton Prep and then the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. It was at UNO where he met Laura in 1981. Upon graduation, Mark was a public accountant for a few years before turning his sights to golf course development. In 2003 he joined Twin Creek, LP as a controller and property manager where he worked until his death.
Mark and Laura were married at Christ the King Catholic Church in 1987 and were blessed with three beautiful daughters: Jordan, Corinne, and Kendall. Mark loved being a devoted husband and father first and foremost, but he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and Creighton basketball. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus council at CTK and served the parish as an EMHC (Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion).
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Anderson, Sr. and JoAnn Anderson-Norris. In addition to his wife and daughters, Mark is survived by his siblings and was a proud uncle to nine nieces and nephews.
