October 21, 1961 – July 2, 2020

Deacon Mark Smith died peacefully on July 2, 2020 in Omaha, NE at the age of 58.

Mark is survived by his wife, Nancy, and his two children, Crystal (Nick Cortese) and Michael.  He is preceded in death by his father, Rev. William ‘Bill’ Smith, of Des Moines, IA.

Mark was born on October 21, 1961 in Des Moines, IA to William ‘Bill’ Smith and Yvonne ‘Pat’ Smith.  He graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 1980.  Mark married Nancy on March 3, 1984.  When Mark’s department at the phone company was being transferred out of state, Mark and his wife took the leap and moved to Omaha, NE.
