Mark A. Weaver
March 22, 1962 – December 5, 2020
On Saturday, December 5th, at 11:22 am, Mark Allen Weaver, loving husband and father of 2 amazing children, passed away at the young age of 58. Mark was born in Grand Island, NE but moved to Omaha and worked for Nebraska Furniture Mart where he met his beautiful wife.
Mark was an avid music fan, sports card enthusiast, eBay obsessed guy, loyal Husker and Jets fan. In high school, Mark was a part of the GISH football team and helped lead the team to a state championship title in 1978. He then spent 27 years at UPS before retirement due to his Pancreatic Cancer diagnosis.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Lynn. He is survived by his wife, Felicia; daughter, Madison (Boyfriend Colin); son, Jake; and 2 dogs Boo and Stella; mother, Donna Smith (Mike); in-laws, Marvin and Hedy Kirke; sister, Sharee Josjor; brother, Steve (fiancé Mary); brother, Jason (Mindy) several nieces, nephews, and family as well as so many loving friends.
Many things have been cancelled because of this virus but love and hope are not!
HUSKER CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Saturday, December 12th from 11am to 2pm, at the West Center Chapel. Please feel free to wear your favorite sports attire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

I was so surprised to hear of this dreadful news! The Weaver family was so supportive of the children. Jake and my son played hockey together, and Mark spent many cold winter days traveling and sitting at the rink, cheering on the hockey team. Thoughts and prayers to your whole family from all of us.

Felicia, I am so sorry to hear about Mark. I will always remember him as “Corky” from our NFM days. A special memory was sitting outside in the parking lot on a hot summer evening after work with all the guys and just hanging out. Mark was a special guy. Tom

Donna, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your son. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. My granddaughter MaryBeth Cronkleton danced at the same studio as your Madie. May wonderful memories bring you and your family comfort and joy!
Madi, I’m so very sorry for the loss of your Dad , losing a father is very hard but I can’t imagine losing mine at 25 years of age…all I can say is spend as much time with your mother and family as you can nothing is any better than family ❤️ and we never know what tomorrow is going to bring.
