Mark Robert Kesick, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 21, 2024.  He was 59 years old. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.

He was born on August 11, 1965, in Chicago, IL to parents, Thomas and Carolyn Kesick.  After Mark graduated from Westside High School, he attended UNL and UNO.

At the age of 20, Mark met Dawn Busenbark. After 10 years together, they went on to have their only child, Carsen.

At the age of 27, he started Marksmen Floors, servicing apartment management companies in the Omaha area.

At the age of 40, Mark got his CDL and drove for companies, including Schneider, where he traveled all around the country. He also worked at Todd Valley Farm for 15 years, delivering sod around Nebraska.

In his 50s, he decided to start his own trucking business, naming it CK Trucking, after his daughter.

Mark was an amazing person inside and out. He loved spending his time outdoors, hunting pheasant, fishing, and camping.  He was an expert at building fires.  His other hobbies included fixing up his vehicles, watching the History channel, and rooting for his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his daughter, Carsen; mother, Carolyn; siblings, Scott and Suzanne (brother-in-law, Ralph); also loved and remembered by his nieces, Taylor, Kailyn and Claudia and nephew, Zachary; and his cat, Dude.

Welcoming him to the other side are his father, Thomas Kesick; and love of his life, Dawn Busenbark.

He will be forever missed.  Until we meet again.

My husband Robert works at Todd Valley. They kept in touch after Mark left from there. They always talked or texted each other. Mark was truly a one of a kind spirit. He was the kindest goofiest person we ever have known. From working on his white jeep to just stopping by. He had a heart of gold and not a talk or text would go by without talking about his beloved daughter and his cat dude. He loved them both greatly. The last thing he said to Robert was a text that said Rain day?? (It was a old inside thing with work), robert said take the day off buddy you deserve it!! He’ll be missed greatly!! Our condolences to all the family.

So sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. Unbelievable. Beyond sad. My fondest memory was playing kickball on 93rd avenue with your kids. Mark was a nice boy, and that is how I will always remember.him. May he rest in peace.
