Mark S. Rieschl

Mark S. Rieschl

September 3, 1952 – June 20, 2024

Mark passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 20, 2024.  He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.  He was a talented athlete back in the day, but his real passion was in his art work.  He was a phenomenal painter and artist, and besides paintings and murals, which he often did for family and friends, the most cherished of his work was the beautiful Christmas ornaments he would make for the family’s annual ornament exchange.

Mark lived a simple life….loving the outdoors, watching animals, feeding his birds, and tending to his flowers.  Indoors, you would either find Mark playing solitaire or watching TV – particularly westerns, crime mysteries, nature shows, and Wheel of Fortune.  Most of all though, he cherished time with his family and friends; that is until he didn’t, and then up the stairs he went to his quiet place .

Mark was preceded in death by parents, John and Frances Rieschl; sister, Kathleen.  He is survived by siblings: Eileen (Doug) Young, Mary Kay Capece, Kris Rieschl, Ken (Mickie) Rieschl, Jean Rieschl, Pat (Curt) Frease, and Mike (Katie) Rieschl; special friend, Bill Meyers; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.

Visitation: Thursday, June 27, 5:00-7:00 p.m, and Friday, June 28, beginning at 10:00 a.m, followed by MEMORIAL SERVICE  at 11:00 a.m, all at West Center Chapel.
