Michaela, News of Mark’s passing hit us hard and with such with such mixed emotions. On the one hand we can’t imagine this jovial light has left us! And on the other hand we celebrate today as the spirit we know as Mark becomes stronger and more brilliant than ever. He’s free of the machines that kept him for years and can know embrace eternity with a renewed soul! So many fun memories of Mark and you and the girls and the gang ! I admire you for your strength and for your loyalty as you honored your vows of in “sickness and in health.” Mark will be missed and you will be in our prayers .

It was truly a blessing to have known Mark and call him a friend. Likewise, to meet his family before a Northwest game recently was a pleasure. We all have been touched by having known him and wish our blessings on his family.

I played football for Coach Thomsen at Ellsworth in 1993 and 1994. He was a very fair and disciplined person. I last spoke to him when his dad and my father were in inducted into the Ellsworth Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999 or 2000. My condolences to his family.
