I am so sorry Uncle Mickie & cousins Ed, Billy & families. She was a wonderful person & was Loved by many. She would always give me her hand me down clothes, because we were the same size. That helped me a lot. I’m glad that we got together as much as we did. I hope that she didn’t suffer much & know that she is in a much better place now. She will be missed.?

I met Marlene a few years ago when our dogs took a liking to each other. Peaches would be in the front yard and my pup (who doesn’t like a lot of other dogs) would run up to Peaches and they would play. Marlene got a lot of enjoyment out of seeing Peaches running around. Then my Mother and Marlene became good friends and spent many 4:30p Happy Hours together. And, although her friends in the neighborhood told her not to, she would make the most delicious food and serve it to all. Luckily, I was the recipient of many “left-overs”, although I suspect Marlene made extra for Mom to bring to me. She was an amazing cook and was kind enough to write down some recipes for me. I will smile and say a blessing every time I make her Apple Crisp and Buttermilk Cake and share with my friends and family. Marlene will not be forgotten!
