Marlene Marie Larchick
December 2, 1939 – August 15, 2018
Marlene Marie Larchick passed away on August 15, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Marlene was the daughter of Alfonso and Dorothy (Pray) Markvicka. She was born on December 2, 1939 in Loup City, Nebraska, and graduated from Loup City High School.
Marlene Markvicka and Duane Larchick were married on September 20, 1958 in St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City NE and lived out their lives in the Omaha area. They had three children, Laurie, Mark, and Christy. Marlene is survived by her husband Duane; her children: Laurie Hoyt (Gary) Mark Larchick (Shirley); and Christy Riggles (Craig); grandchildren: Nicholas Riggles, Jordyn (Andrew) Karrmann, Danny Hoyt, Anna (Jonathan) Richardson, Angela and Sarah Larchick; great-grandchildren: Bryson Cullum, Treyvon Cullum and Jack Richardson; siblings: Peggy (Pat) Toscano, Jane (Gery) Bonczynski, Mary Kay (Alan) Burns-Hemmer, and Gary (Judy), Max (Julie) and Roy (Sandy) Markvicka; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and a great-granddaughter, Everly Grace Karrmann.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 19th from 3pm to 5pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 5pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday, August 20th at 10:30am at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 200 E. 6th St. in Papillion, with lunch following. Private Interment. Memorials ae suggested to Alzheimer’s Association or Hillcrest Hospice.

I worked with Marlene at Mutual of Omaha. So sorry to hear about her passing. I was out of state or I would
have gone to the funeral..
