My condolences to Coaches family. He was a great man and taught me a lot about being a man when he coached me. I always felt like he was a second father and treated all his players that way. My heart is sad right now.

Our son played for Coach at MSHS & we were always impressed on how he treated the boys. Not only was he a great coach, but also a great person. Our son still has fond memories of Coach. Our prayers are with his family.

My two sons played for Marty at MSHS! Marty was a coach’s coach who taught his players to respect themselves and each other. He was a role model, mentor, and confidant. He was a true blessing in my sons’ lives, and I am most thankful that he was their coach and mentor! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry for your loss. Mr. Going was a great coach to both my brothers and a great teacher, one of my favorite that I still have fond memories of.

I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to you Jeanne and your family. Marty was a great friend , roommate, and teammate in college, a coaching buddy who was an all around good guy. He lived his life with class and integrity. I will always cherish my memories of our time together.

Dear Going family. So sorry for your loss. I haven’t see Marty in years. I was a college friend of Marty’s at Wayne. Marty was always outgoing and friendly. In the years that would follow, if we happened upon one another we would say hi and have a quick conversation. Marty was a great person and will be greatly missed. Again, thoughts and prayers.

I played for Coach Going in Grand Island and He was our host couple many years later at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Millard.. Coach Going was a great Coach but also a great mentor and example for young men. Marty was the main reason I was able to go to college on a football scholarship and graduate! Coach – Thank you!

To the Going family.. My God wrap his arms around all of you and give you peace.. We are so sorry and will Keep you all in our prayers.
